i know there are some of you hot rodders who have been through this, i have a 52 chevy truck with chevy v8 i want to put a formed top hose on it. any body have a gates or dayton number i could go off of. thanks
This comes up a lot with engine swaps. There is always some kind of molded hose that will fit, they make hundreds of them. Measure the diameter you need (both ends) make a mock up of the hose you need, I use old heat duct or air filter duct material bent to shape and stiffened with duct tape. Go to the parts store and ask to go through their hose stock. You will find one that has the right shape and size, and can be cut to fit.
yeah i know, done that before, i was just looking to see if anyone has done it lately where they would still have the number. i guess you could say i was looking for the lazy way out.
stock hose for a 56 chevy pickup would probably be just right, except that the radiator end will be a bit too big. But that's just a guess.... http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1326282,parttype,2058
