It's been a bit slow going. Sent the car back to the body shop to fix some imperfections in the paint.

    Installed '37 door handles.

Got the firewall painted up. Ran battery cable through the chassis to the trunk.

Been a while. Slowing going as usual.

Bolting the fenders, running boards, and hood back on...

It's out of the garage and off to get interior. Really dirty but it's getting there.

The start of the interior. The leather boots will be the color of the seat and door panels.

Man, that thing is pretty. It's really coming out nicely. Are you planning on matching out that traingle of the inner fender that is visible between the grill, fender and hood or is it staying black?

    Thanks so much!

That's my boner move. When I was separating parts for paint, I didn't realize that was exposed.

It's back to the body shop when interior is done.

    Some details of the interior.

Headliner is suede. Panels are leather.

I'm going to get working on a custom battery enclosure that my interior guy will then cover and match to the rest of the interior.

    NEARLY DONE!

After a very unfortunate small fire... Backfire lit some fuel that leaked from the hardline from my fuel pump.

Car's okay, just covered in extinguisher bullshit.

Here it sat yesterday after idling for a few minutes. The mighty roar of the Mercury 8CM...

Detail of what I did behind the seat. Left it open for trunk access and some of my smaller friends may be able to sit back there!

For the first time in my life, I spent the money on a leather interior... Suede headliner.

Trunk forward before the seat went in...

Battery Box I made and had upholstered...

I didn't get a picture of the completed exhaust, but it's done now. Cutouts are electronically opened and closed. A must-have option for me. Sometimes, you just have to get exhaust gasses out a bit quicker...

Got it cleaned up and started. Merc engine sounds burly...

Made a throttle cable and return spring bracket.

Got the exhaust cutouts wired up...

Great colour combo between the paint and the interior. Doesn't the back of your seat hinge up like a 36 to access the trunk ? Pete

Looks a lot like Titian Red in this photo. LOVE it, wise choice on saying no to the wires, gives it that early fifties look. Nice work, good eye.
