Oh man, when you want to live forever. Running as hard as she will
go, straight as a die, you're just along for the ride. Pure bliss.
It doesn't happen often for most of us.

I agree - looks like a fairly good photoshop but it does look fake. Observe the far lot. It says free parking yet .10??
The shadows look ok yet the bottom of the tires are square. LOL

  4. It looks hinkey for sure. The attendant might be dubbed in also, right ? It's neat but also maddening that photos can be altered very successfully, sometimes. You can't trust what you see in pictures, sometimes.

I found the picture of the late '40's Studebaker entering the parking lot when going through Google Images. I did think it looked a little strange but was thnking that possibly it was used in some kind of a presentation dealing with parking costs (thus the arrows to the .05 and .10 prices.). I have tried all evening to find the picture again to possibly find a source, but have been unable to.

  8. If you take that slogan at face value it says that Buick already builds the best cars. So what about big sister Cadillac ? Or Lincoln. Chrysler, and so forth. The missing part of the story is "price range" ( now called price point ). But there is no doubt about it, The Buicks have been the smartest choice for an affordable and quality G.M. car all down through the years. That's my story and I'm sticken' to it!

    - this
has to be Australian by the brands but it seems to be catering to a pretty cosmopolitan market ... ( edit - OK, got it - Surfers Paradise 1971 - that figures ) crab, salmon, dogwoods(?) and no beetroot ...

  12. Sure looks Aussie to me. An AP5 Valiant on the left, and maybe a Zephyr and Holden in the backround

It is a Dagwood sandwich, named after Mr. Bumstead.

  26. Those (seemingly fragile, nowadays) early cars sure were used and abused.
