Cooler than shit, both the car and the story. Love the helmet, the floor mounted gauges and the well worn pinstriping. Twistin' again at the HAMB drags. Doesn't get much better than that!
That was such a fantastic car. Stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it in the parking lot Friday night.
Very cool. Video? Anyone & maybe some more on original history. Maybe Seth can scan & upload some of those newspaper/magazine scrapbook.
This rules on so many levels. Was having a crappy day at work, so I logged onto the hamb. After reading this the last four hours were a breeze. Thank you. P.S. Great development of the color film - it's perfect.
Thanks once again. I'd like the words on the post to keep on going endlessly. Great to know things continued this way.
Yeah....almost. Makes one believe there is hope for us derelict hot rodders and the future of our cars.
Ryan, You've done a great job capturing the true spirit of what the Tornado is all about. And I can honestly say that Bud would be first in line to shake your hand on what you have accomplished with the HAMB Drags and The Journal. And that handshake would be extended to all the Hot Rodders who are keeping this thing alive. I'll work on getting scrapbook photos posted as soon as I can and feel free with any questions on the car. Thanks for the kind words fellas.
Ryan, Great story & photos. Seth I want to say Bud done good by passing this cool hot rod on to you. I am sure he was looking down on the drags with a big grin watching his old carand you. Was great to see some of George's paint work from back in the day. I had some he done for me on an old hot rod back in the day. We need more young guys like you to carry on this torch. Thanks, Ryan for the story
