    Jack,
Yes it is for sale now, $290 if I can get them to H.A.M.B. members. I'm listing them on the Bay starting Friday evening, over there I have to ask $20 bucks more to cover their bank system. AKA: pay your pal. I'll be honest I'd like to sell the Hell out of them to finance my '40 Pick Up project. I've got a deuce pick-up, I still think the Forty PU is the best looking street rod a man can hope to build.

32 truck rear fenders on a model a bed. The tilt was no big deal. bolted the hood along the edges to the fenders. Slipped a piece of heavy guage sheet metal between each fender and grille side verticle. Punched a hole through each frame rail and the pieces added to grille sides and ran a pipe horizontal side to side. caution....this will make the bottoms of the fenders rub the sides when opening.

  4. My[IMG] '41 I've been working on. I still have to rub it out, and install the new glass.

  7. This little 8BA powered '41 was done mostly by Paul Windshield on here a few years back. We did some tradin' and I ended up with the truck and he a chassis I put together. My tastes are different from his so I changed the tires and wheel color, tweaked a few other things, changed the seat cover and put a hood on it. I'm not too fond of the '41 hood trim (sorry fans) so went '40 with it.

  8. ...heres the only 40 I ever owned; ruff but some guy in Michigan made a neat lil hot rod out of it.

Here's mine: first modified as a mild custom back in the early-mid 50s and used as a tow vehicle for the original owners model A racecars. This truck towed racers from SoCal to places all over the country, like Pikes Peak and Daytona Beach back in the day.

It was modified with a '39 dlx car front end, dual spotlights (currently off the truck and being fixed), a Columbia two speed rear, dropped front axle, etc. Later, it received hood louvers by Gene Winfield.

I see myself as being more of a caretaker of this truck than it's owner, so I try not to change it, just preserve it and keep it on the road. It's racecar towing days are over, but my '53 Triumph does ride to shows in the bed quite often.

[IMG] This is my '40. I call it "beautiful from afar but far from beautiful"
I have it torn apart now for a complete re-do. I'm not a flat-black guy and I'm kind of tired of the wide white look.
It goes in this week to get the million dents pounded out of the cab. The bed is a mess. Not sure what to do with it. Try to fix it or buy a new one.
It will be painted Folkstone grey (1940 colour) and blackwall tires with some type of non-Hamb wheels. I also will be swapping out the tired 305 for a Vortec 350.
There will be a lot of parts for sale in the next year or so. Including the wide whites, wheels, trim rings, caps
