one more pair of radial engines in road vehicles, one in motor-bicycle and one in automobile!

When I was a boy, one older mechinist in Belgrade was making 5-cylinder radial engine using 5 BMW 250 cc single cylinder engines! Probably - war surplus from German Army left after defeat... Sorry - not any photo saved! Do not know if he ever maneged to finish it...

Here is a BMW 3 cyl. that was built and runs. Also a Guzzi; don't know if it ever ran.

 

Fred,I did know there folks with the same crazy thoughts as me.I was thinking more on the lines of a v-8 BMW engine.

 

Motoklas,I don't about the Marion Davies car.There isn't too much definitive information about it at all.It does look a very finely crafted vehicle.The paint scheme really sets the shape off too.

Bob, how do you think they did that? Doing it first to the flat sheet wouldn't work so it had to be done "on the car" but I cannot imagine doing that and every time you wash it you rub some of it off.

 

Fred,I just look at the pictures. I have no earthly idea how they swirl polish that stuff.GOD bless them though.It sure is pretty.This car looks like she has some experience.Would like to see one that has just been finished how it sparkles in the sunshine.

I am an avid old fan. I love to tinker and rebuild. Old cars, old motor cycles, old mini bikes, old hit and miss enginesI have always wanted to put together a car of my own design.
A year ago I took a ride in a Ford Model A speedster. I fell in love. But I already have two models A's.

I would like to build a single seat, reverse trike cyclecar. Low and race car-like When I found this thread I was stoked. So much inspiration, so much information.

The thing is I want it to be street legal. I want it to be a consistent daily driver. The reason for the trike is I can base it off a motorcycle and hopefully license it as a modified motorcycle.

I contacted my states DMV vehicle inspector and they were lost when it came to my idea (legal/ illegal even procedure).

I think I have read every page in this thread Has anyone here done this meaning street legal? Any pointers?

Lost,Geoff and Fredvv44 have built three wheelers. Does your idea look like a Morgan? Get a hold of a Morgan 3 wheeler brochure and show your DMV inspector that.

We all know how well this V* JAP engine works in a GN.Myself,I wonder how these FIAT aircraft engines would work in a GN too?

That's nice. I imagine it would be hard to find one of those, but it would look great in a GN!

 

An excellent video of the work of Neander a few Jap powered cycle cars and very nice bikes , love the steering wheel of the Neander cyclecar which incorporates a twist grip for the throttle I think
