You might be right but I never heard the phrase “Pachuco car” for a bomb but the Pachuco cc is a well-known car club with excellent bombs and chapters in Cali, Nevada, Texas and Japan.

    Taken from Wikipedia:

Pachucos are Chicano youths who developed their own subculture during the 1930s and 1940s in the Southwestern United States. They wore distinctive clothing (such as zoot suits) and spoke their own dialect of Mexican Spanish, called Caló or Pachuco. Due to their double marginalization stemming from their youth and ethnicity, there has always been a close association and cultural cross-pollination between the Pachuco subculture and gang subculture.

  8. I love em, and have since i was a teenager. I had a poster on my bedroom wall, of a 37, 8 or 9 Chevy Bomb. It was a painting i think. Car was red, with the background being bright green. Ive asked this question before, so maybe someone can help, and put it up here. If you know it, id dearly love to see it again, and id spring for another copy. I lost mine, and would really love another. :) i miss that poster.

I'd be careful admitting to owning or building bombs, the NSA is watching you :D

I love bombs but also the hotrod look so I get torn on how to build a ride. My 51 leaned toward hotrod, but the wagon I am building is leaning toward the bomb side. Need to find some accy like a visor and bumper overriders

Well, I got it on the ground today. The rear is not as low as I would like but it's as low as I dare go without doing some tunnel work. It's sitting almost level right now. I was hoping for a tail down stance but it looks like that is not to be because the front end definitely needs to come down.

The good news is, it drives great now. :)

  21. I love that car rat bastard. I wouldn't change a thing on it. Thanks for posting more pictures. Engine and interior pictures?

That's great rockable. Do you have an update picture?

MESSING AROUND 27-1-14 001.JPG Here's mine in New Zealand.. 1937 Nash Lafayette 400.. The running gear has been updated to SBC / T350 (due to original engine/box being pulled apart by the PO, and rusted)

Here's my 48 fleetmaster with the bomb style. I just need a set of skirts & maybe a little lower in the rear. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1407350763.484626.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1407350803.924264.jpg

  30. Huh, learn something new every day. Most of these cars I would have called mild customs ?

I've heard the term used as an old car running but in rough shape, or as a verb to mean running around:

"We jumped in my old bomber and hit the town"
"Me and the boys were having fun bombing around in the '54."
