You're right HRP. We do see a lot of flames on cars (and motorcycles) in NE Indiana and NW Ohio, especially ghost flames.
Thanks for posting the pictures. I went to that show back in the late 80s but don't remember the exact year. Have to look at the shirt. Still have it somewhere. Very nice show.
Thanks for sharing your pics. I didn't make it out to the show this year. But you got a shot of a friend's car that I did the door lettering on a few years ago. Sadly this appears to be the 40th and final Muddy River Run. This used to be a major multi-day show several years ago but it's lost some of it's momentum recently. Hopefully someone will come up with another show to fill the void.
Quite a history with that show - too bad it's ending. The latest rendition has been pretty good. Not as good as when it was at IPFW in the grass and under the trees before as a 2 day event but a good one. I think at one time they had over 1500 cars when it was at it's original sight the Coliseum / Johnny Appleseed park. I think the club was having trouble finding people to work the show. It will be missed even tho I am now not living there now. RIP MRR.
HRP this is my hometown. Im sorry to hear the show is ending. My brother attended this past weekend and was told this it.
