The Comet will still be over there for awhile,as I was asked to have it on display at this years Goodwood Revival, an honor I could not pass up....

Dale;I bet you could fill a book with tales from England!!!That 750 worked great on 352 inches of screaming 8.2"W,went 10.60s-10.70s all day, everywhere!!!When is Goodwood? ROY

Sept. 12-14. Here is a video from the event. I'd say Dragstalgia is a cross between The March Meet, and The Reunion, but they actually run a lot of their vintage drag cars instead of just cackling them off:

Dale;I never heard the reasons for no passes, they used to make short squirts!! I do know some can not,or will not run their cars because of the expense and the threat of that grenade going off!!! ROY.

I think its insurance. If the cars don't meet current safety standards they can't run, and of course nobody with a historic car would butcher it to update it. So they can only cackle.....Mike

The ride is OK as long as you keep the power on and go straight!!I get crap for my big wheelstands,I have a set of wheelie bars but have never installed them! Some guys love them,a lot of guys call them training wheels!! I'm trying to calm my Comet down on the launch,so far so good,we have got the wheelspeed up on launch trying to keep the car from climbing the ring gear!! ROY.

    Mercury,

Could you re-post the pic of the Spencer Motors Comet? I believe it was one of the original 21. Also, was it originally driven by Bud Shellenberger the same Bud that drove the King Ford tbolt?

    Thanks, Len
