  2. Any time a show grows this large there will be problem's with traffic,,I learned a long time ago to forget trying to get there early and take my time,,there will still be a place to park. HRP

  3. From my point of view, it was pretty easy to get around.............I got there early and left late and had fun!

I had a great time, yup there was a lot of cars, wasn't too bad getting in or out. Saturday was a bit busier, turn the tunes on, chat with the people lining the road on the way out, it's like having a little cruise on the way out, what's the rush?

  6. One interesting thing is being back in the swap you often get to see cars running as they go back and forth to the trailer.

One truck with a 30s cab with two engines in it drove by on Saturday, and the silver '65 Chevy pickup with two blowers on it was running out there on Sunday. That Merc with the 80s El Camino bed went by too.

  10. Awesome show this year. I didn't find it to be too bad getting in any day. Saturday was busy leaving, but with that many cars what would you expect? All things considered I thought the show was a huge success. In my eyes the nest one yet.

    My car……..

The 40B '33 roadster was the most interesting car there. The owner drove 6 hours down from Canada in it to attend. He says it's the real deal. It has 5 Muroc timing tags on the radiator support from 1937 into the late '40's and they look original. So this car appears to have been raced since it was new.
He got the car years ago and installed an old Datsun 4 cylinder in it back in the 70's. He looked like he was having fun driving it all weekend. He had fun making people guess what motor was in it.

There will always be somebody who will find a way to gripe...

I went to the host hotel to sign in and get my packet. As always, walked right in, got my stuff plus some freebies. Hung out for a bit looking at the cars- better than most weekly cruise nights. Left there and went to the Fairgrounds. Got in and drove around a bit watching the vendors set up, then helped a buddy unload his parts at the swap. From there it was on to the FREE participant picnic and ate my fill of good food. It was an even bigger car show!

Friday and Saturday I arrived at 7:30. Both days I drove right in without a wait. Parked my '62 Caddy right where I wanted. Spent the day walking around and enjoying the show. Left at 5 merging with the outflowing traffic. Took maybe 10 minutes to get onto SF Blvd. Saturday was more cars earlier, just parked on the midway. Left at 4- same deal, on the road in 10-15 minutes.

Point is, it was once again a fantastic show from top to bottom. How these mythical 'many pissed' folks were created is beyond me. More often than not, those that get so upset are carrying some unhappiness with them unrelated to the show, and use exaggerated complaints to medicate that unhappiness. Sorry for them, but I'll bet they are a tiny percentage.

As for us, we are already counting the days until the next SyrNats!

I agree! Imagine the work to turn the short trunk lid into a long one like this!
The taildragger thing doesn't work for 35-36's in my opinion.

  26. I heard a little over 8000. Not sure how true it was, but based on past experience with this show, and the fact that there were cars stuffed everywhere I might believe it.
