History Video -- Jalopy in 1951 parade

    I've been digitizing my grandfather's 8mm home movies (6.5 hours worth) to save them for future generations. I found this in a reel from the 1951 Fiesta Parade in Durango, CO (their hometown). I thought some guys here might think it was an interesting glimpse into the past.

    I like the cowbell under the front axle. I appears that having enough "ballast" (people) in the back seat is the key. With just a driver I doubt it could do much launching.
