We know as children that we will probably outlive our parents, but still nothing can prepare you for the time when it actually happens. There's simply no way to brace yourself for such news.
We grieve in groups and that provides comfort but we must also grieve alone because it's so personal that it is as if nobody else would really understand.
Your dad was certainly proud of you, being a father, family man and business owner, so he got to enjoy the fruits of his parenting by watching your Life unfold into one of quality.
You gave him that and that is something for you to be proud of, too.
Our thoughts are with you and your family......Doug and Janice

    My condolences, Ryan.

When we lose a parent, there are no words that ever fit quite right, other than; "that just fkn sucks"!

Always hold your family dear & relish your time with them.

Ryan, Sorry to hear of your loss. Timing is not in our control. My Dad passed 32 years ago on my birthday. Each year since, I have had very quiet birthday celebrations. That Special Day is the Day that I Celebrate everything Good about my Father. I always get a warm feeling when I go to the garage and use one of Dad's Old Tools. You will be fine but it will take some time. Sincerely, Jeff

That sucks. Sometimes things just don't make sense. From what I've read from you in the past Ryan, it sounds like your pops was a cool guy that raised you right. I'm very sorry for your loss and my prayers are with y'all during this time and thru the future.

I dread the day when my pops is called.
