I would check on e-bay for a couple of 54 or 55 olds hubcaps, they will match your front caps but not have the spinner bars. Or may be a fellow H.A.M.B.er has a set that they would sale.

  4. I vote for the spun discs. But you really wouldn't know the difference with the car that low.

Moon discs on a Merc look as 'kustom' as those blasted kickstands!

I genrally like to agree with HRP even if I dont say it on here but Im gonna hafta disagree on this one about the spun disc," I dont like em".
Chrome full moons are OK but I hate spun disk on anything other than a race car, like a salt flats car and even then I wouldnt say I really like em but just see them as a necessary part of the car.

If I were involved in a time that those were more accepted and had memories where they were more commonly used on street cars then maybe I would like em more, just because, but as it stands I think just plain steel wheels, orig hub caps, etc.etc.etc. would look better.

I hope the OP got his problem figured out by now as this thread was started back in march.

Funny, the first car that comes to mind when I think of Moon discs is a custom Merc. Heart Like a Wheel movie car. Think it looks pretty slick myself.

Really need to be screw ons with a bit of painted edge showing on skinny wheels and bias plys to look right. Tubes are a must.

Wow, It's amazing how much the disks and blackwalls change the looks of that car and for the better.

Sorry F-one, gotta disagree. The Caddie caps and skirts look awesome, followed by the reds and wide whites...

LOL if I could fit regular hubcaps on my rims, I wouldn't be asking between trim rings and screw on moons...
