  4. Unless I missed 'em, I didn't see Smokey's RPU.made from a sedan cowl and the rest is homemade. I also missed Kiwitinbasher's sedan at B'ville but the most famous A on the HAMB hasta be Brother Don Dillard's primered coupe. I tossed in a photo my stolen 30 closed-cab pickup--stolen before I could pick it up after my dad died and left it to me.
My votes for the baddest A-boners go to Big Dirty, Orcas tow's car and that fuckin Brian Bass makes a helluva shubox but his model A is a bad-ass as they come..
And who could forget Jeff's Poncho powered C-dan?

It came from a 80 olds wagon. A malibu, buick or pontiac wagon from the same years would be tha same I think, (78 - 8? possibly).

    Well, mine's part A. "It's a 29, 31, 49, 50, 66, 84, 05 automobile..." to paraphrase "The Man In Black". Here's a few pics (work in progress just like me):

14-1-06, been stripping the "rat black" off today so hopefully people will finally see I'm building a traditional 60's rod NOT a 2000's ratrod! Sorry sick of people asking "are you building a ratrod", when I have said I'm building a 60's style rod.

Wow, DodgeRodder, your ride really rocks, I was looking to get my 29 Model-A 2dr Sedan that low (I have to work on it). It's down to 52 1/2" at the roof line in front of the rear tires. Like to know how low yours is. Keep on slamming on it and make the Round in Austin, Tx.
I have not been able to post pics but heres a link:

Some of the ideas came from Marty's and Son out in Sick-a-More, Il. and will be adding some kind of flared running board to cover the pipes and kill some of the rust..

My '29 coupe project is scattered across 2 garages. Here's the cab, locked down to the lift. I'm in the process of replacing the passenger side sub frame and rear wheel panel. The drivers side is already done. If I'da knew more about A's when I bouight this tub, I wouldn't have bought it at all. BUT, Live & Learn.

  24. After seeing 11 pages of thread feel kinda silly jumpin' in. That being said there are Two '28 A's waiting for some atttention one Tudor and a Roadster. Most of the parts have been gathered for the Roadster andit is on deck as the next project. The Tudor is just a body but a very nice body with all the little peices.

Got to fininsh the '40 Coupe first and just dragged a '51 Club Coupe home. It has been suggested by my better half that the Tudor should be sold because of the '51.

  25. Hey Lenny ,I hope that is mine you are talking about.Spent part of today getting it ready for you.

  26. This is my roadster pickup that I built by cutting down an original 31 sedan body, fabricating a bed from scratch, and using a set of glass fenders. I am very pleased with the way it turned out. I put 2300 miles on it this past summer, and I am currently building a carson style non folding top for it.
