Hey guys, I've been a member for a little while and have not posted much because of banter I have heard that allegedly goes on here. I'm here to make my own opinion, since when I ever asked questions on here, you guys have been very helpful.
About me; I am a Iraq war Vet who has been fascinated with old cars all my life, but too poor to own one till now. A couple years, I saved some money and bought my 1951 Pontiac Chieftain 2 door sedan. I put a oem visor on it ad just drove it. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl (damn near the tip of this penis shaped state). I ended up driving to Daytona (turkey rod run) and Ocala (billet proof) Both 5 hours away two years in a row on Bias plys and with the original Straight Eight engine. Sadly I craved a little more power and the straight eight was very , very tired. So, I pulled the engine out this winter and sold it to a friend who rebuilt it and I helped him install it in his 53 Chieftain. Here are some pics. I'll post more as I go along. BTW what started as a joke , has become an actual thing of me putting cute girls in my trunk you can follow me on instagram De_La_Muerte enjoy!

looks like a great start, you did not mention your new engines identity though.
    perhaps a 421/428/455 and 700junk4?

Today I sanded and cleaned up the firewall. I removed the old airbox and welded the old holes.

That second picture you posted with the hood ornament lit up is killer. The new brakes and engine aren't bad either. Nice car!
