Projects 1938 lincoln Zephyr 3w coupe on the horzion!

In my wildest dreams did I ever think I would own a Zephyr. That's what I thought when I picked up my 40 3window. Now I just acquired this beautiful 38 coupe with tons of potential. She was sitting George "dutch" Fuchs Jr collection. Which now his family is selling off all his cars.
So she will be next project to start, I will keep you Posted!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I would love to own one in that condition.

 

Duct tape a couple of flashlights to the front fenders and start driving that car!

Stunning.....that is an amazing car.

 

I had a friend who passed away last year that had a '38 coupe and believe it or not the color was very similar,,he had a 289 Ford and a automatic transmission in the car.

I road in the coupe several times over the years and sitting in the passenger seat was like sitting on the couch at home...the car was comfortable & roomy.

Interesting shifter gate; is that part of the shifting rod just barely visible under the dash?, how does it all work ?

 

When a Lincoln was really a Lincoln, (not a Fusion).

 

Awesome car and that one seems very nice condition. One of the best designs for making a custom.

Gatz, the shifter wraps around and shifts the trans on the side, instead of a top shifter with basically straight lever like a Ford coupe has. All this to allow that center waterfall dash.

 

Nice buy, I was watching this one on the evil bay. Very nice looking Zephyr.
