  3. Mother...thanks again for the pics of the 1022, I ended up leaving the underside in the grey primer I painted it.......it blended in with the roof lining when you were sitting inside looking out and was not reflective to boot........me & a mate made up a much stronger centre bracket out of stainless as shown........again, thanks for the info and pics..........regards, andyd

MT....here is the visor I have. It is 53 1/2 inches long, and 11 inches wide. No markings on it at all.

  8. MT, I meant to ask previously when you gave the info regarding the Fulton Visor I had on my 1941 Plymouth.....why was there a difference between the mounting brackets?......the packaging for the 1000 Series calls it a Fulton "Deluxe"......were the 700 and 800 Series the cheaper or standard versions......am curious as when I got this visor from a guy in the US who took it off his 1948 Plymouth, guys over here in Oz were surprised at the shape of this visor and had not seen one like it......were the 1000 series common?.........again thanks for the info......regards, andyd

I have seen a lot of the 1000 series, I have one and a 800.

  10. The 1000 Series Fulton was geared more towards the large luxury car market.
Most commonly you would see these on Cadillac, Buicks & Olds wide body cars.

The 1000 series were modular in design & you had to order the correct mounting bracket kit to fit your particular application.

There were 3 different end mounting brackets for the 1000 series that I know of....

The Fulton 1000 series visors were made in the early to mid 50's & they were some of the last ones to be made before the company stopped making them all together.

  14. Mother...many thanks for sharing the info, its a good day when you learn something and I have today.......I bought the visor from a guy on the P15/D24 Forum who had taken it off his 1948 Plymouth and knowing that the body shells were essentially the same 1940 to 1948 I bought it.......funny thing was I had never seen a pic of this type of visor till seeing this one and thought it seemed to have a little more style...........lol........anyway again thanks for the pics and info.......regards, Andy Douglas

  15. The Fulton visors did have a provision to make them fit on vehicles with a one piece windshield.

Any Fulton visor that was originally set up to fit a 2 piece windshield vehicle can be easily converted & adapted to fit a 1 piece windshield vehicle.

The center pinch clamps & arms that normally connect to the divider of the 2 piece windshield are eliminated & a cast aluminum roof mount center mounting bracket is then installed on the visor......

  18. We just finished up a nice 1000 series Fulton.

Would need to see pictures of your car to make sure we have the correct brackets to fit it.

    Message us for more info.

  23. 1954 Plymouth Savoy.... never had a request for one of those....

Based on the pictures I pulled up.... the Savoy would use any 700,800 or 1000 series Fulton visor . The one piece windshield mandates the use of the roof center mount . 1954_Plymouth_Savoy.jpg

Hi MotherTrucker, I am in the stage of buying a 1948 Pontiac Streamliner sedan coupe, series 28, model #8PB, body/style# 48-2807, which would look magnificent with a sun visor. in fact it would give the car a completely different look. Could I ask you to recommend me one from your collection that fits to this car? I am not in favor of any make, but I guess, the Fulton's are the most common ones. Thanks a lot! Price and shipping to Florida?
    Best,
    Hans from Frankfurt
