I see a lot of coupe builds and sedan builds, but what is everyone's opinion? Which is the most sought after body style?

roadster is probably the most popular/sought after, judging from how many repair panels are repopped for them (complete quarters, for instance).

myself, i prefer coupes... and closed pickups... and tudors... hell, i've been wanting a fordor lately, too.

it seems that the tudor sedans are more plentiful. Just do a quick on ebay or craigslist and mostly sedans. Maybe a few coupes and rarely a pickup.

I have a '29 Roadster that I have always desired. So for me it would have to be a Victoria.

The rarest might possibly be 99a Town Car Delivery.

How did we get to rarest?

"Whats is the most popular Model A body?"

Not produced, or still available in the world.

    I have built a 31 pickup and a 28 tudor.
It's been my observation that coupes are most commonly hot rodded.

  14. I'm going with the Tudor, only cause I'm building one and for me a roadster for a family car ain't that practical, a hell of a lot easier to get your hands on over here as well..

  15. Raodster, most wanted, coupe, most popular, tudor, my favert!

  16. Just go by what they cost. Roadster, Touring, Coupe, Tudor, Fordor. Others fit in there at various places.

I think on the left coast it's a roadster and on the right coast it's a coupe...

  18. Well I'm building a 31 fordor cause our 2 dogs go with us everywhere.
Roadster and sedan delivery would be nice as well.

  19. Mostly everyone wants a roadster, but you see more coupes than roadsters. I am a coupe man myself and I don't care if "Coupes are for chickens." :D

If I were to own one, it would definitely be a coupe' of 30-31 vintage.

  22. Popular? The most popular ones would prob be Tudor sedan for availability, second would be coupe. The desired ones is up to the guy who wants to pay the most for the rare ones, like A400, Victoria,Phaeton. The common hot-rodded ones even back in the day were '29 roadsters, cuz they were light. Oh and of course the ones with a title are ALWAYS desirable no matter the body style.

Cmon, you & I both knew ALL these threads turn into "my favorite" 5 posts in...;)

  24. IMHO,roadsters are the most popular, owning one in the Southland can be miserable with the heat and the rain and may prompt a guy to decide to sell it and find a closed car....

Once you commit this sin you will have a burning desire to own another one.

As Deuce Roadster use to say, some people are not roadster people but once you have own one your hooked! HRP

Thanks, a lot of good opinions.

    Keep it vintage....

  26. Now you are talking rare,:D HRP

  27. Yeah that's about as rare as they get...;)

  28. For long term popularity among hot rodders: it is likely the 28-29 roadster. But popularity is inevitably just a compilation of individual opinions and personal preferences. I like all the body styles.
