Looking for a tasteful way to mate the straight stock1938 column drop to the curved 1932 ford dash, anyone done this if so got pics thanks.
No photos but if it were me I would fabricate a small wedge and paint it to match. I assume it's similar to a 37 drop. HRP
Make a cardboard mock up then take some flat plate and cut it out and break it to the mock up. You may have to weld some side pieces. Drill 2 holes for the column mount and 2 holes in the bottom dash rail. The finished mount will be like a 4 sided drawer. Cover with some engine turned vinyl stickyback.
I did something kinda similar with my '32 but it involved a lot more work. I had a '38/'39 truck drop and I had to narrow and shorten it and pie cut it, bent it and re welded it to fit the contour of the '32 dash. This is what it looks like.
Above: I used a '38 column and drop in my deuce 3W. It's attached to an F1 steering box so I needed a 7/8" spacer. Above: Spacer is made from two pieces of rod and a top and front cover shaped to match the column drop.
