This picture was taken in the mid-thirties. Likely in France, since the girl in the picture is my mother and she spent a couple of years during the depression in France. She insists the picture was taken in NY with a relative before she left, but the license plate looks to be French and doesn't match up to NY plates of the time. The only real identifier I can see on the car is the logo on the grill (blown up part of picture), which looks very odd. It seems to be a string of symbols I've never seen on a car before. The grill shape seems to be unusual, as well. Any help would be appreciated.
