Believe they did not get a run in due to windy conditions

I talked to Dale they spent two days in line waiting to run lots of wind and dust but no runs the event was eventually called due to high winds. Don't think going back to Elmo is on their to do list anytime soon. That's Land Speed Racing if it was easy everyone would be doing it.

Ronnie's right- we didn't get to run. I'm trying to figure out which is worse-going to El Mirage with dirt blowing everywhere and not being able to run, or the new format on this sight! Lol!

Wait until you get a Bonneville rain out. That's a drag. Not going to happen again soon.

We are getting ready for Bonneville!

The heads are on Don's hands, so that he can deepen the chambers, so we can run thinner gaskets, and hopefully the o-rings and receiver grooves will seal better for us.

John K has the fenders, to work some fiberglass magic on them.

We modified the exhaust, and added blisters, of sorts, over the exhaust.

as luck would have it, I was able to pick up a really nice, rebuilt and running Caddy flathead!

    I'm Lazy? LOL!

    Thanks Tim!

Carl, I'm not sure. It's real nice, but I don't have a project to put it in yet. It will probably be a backup for Randy's FED.

Don is deepening the head chambers, so that we can run a thinner head gasket, and hopefully take full benefit if the o-ring/receiver groove setup. He still needs to polish the chambers.

He has the first head done, and deepened it .050", so we can use .035" copper gaskets.

John K is working on the front fenders, and Randy is working on the exhaust covers/blisters.

I'm at work, and will install the heads when I return home. deeper chambers.JPG

    Thanks everyone!

Well, things were going good until we got between Rock Springs and Evanston, WY. We broke a trailer spring and tore all of the wiring up for the trailer brakes.

Sure glad we left early! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1407352683.860237.jpg

Best of Luck from us over here:) You probably fix the trailer quick. When you can build a 700HP Flatcad, a trailer fix is nothing;)
When you hit the salt, we are taking passes over here With the Sidewinder:)
