Even has the military lug tires still on it with a painted whitewall , sorry I cannot convince you Arkie, you seem to be very determined to prove that I am not possibly correct, prove me wrong and I'll say I am sorry, prove me right and you apologize to me, till then, it isn't a 32 Ford Roadster, agreed? We don't need a pissing match going on here but there are a lot of obvious clues man..
Everybody's wrong...it's a traditional,bantom,jeep,hot rod,custom,rat rod. Bottom line,who really cares? HRP
You don't get it. Since we old farts are supposed to know every car that ever rolled, it's kind of required. It's the thrill of a mystery car.
Looks like a Crosley to me. Same type hood and windshield. Whatever it is they don't want to be seen in it. Harley
Knobby tires, If it is during wartime, tires were very, very hard to come by. You used what you could find.
WWII was over for 2 years, give or take 6 months, when this pic was taken. Tires were available again. Also, it is not a Crosley. For one thing, the wheels are way too small.
I'm leaning towards a ho-made job... Maybe young men that returned home from the war with new skills built it?
Here is my guess.. it looks like Dean Martin in the drivers' seat and maybe Jerry Lewis in passenger seat and they are stopped at a hot dog vendor on a movie set so the vehicle is a built set vehicle out of a late 30's Ford passenger car with Marmon-Harrington FWD.....He is busting the vendor's balls wanting a Martini with the dog...just a guess..lol..
Not at all. Go look at the Fiats that were cloned from NSU (Or vice versa.) Also what I took as external hood hinges are actually not. I think it's just the cowl vent, being nearly closed, that makes it look so.
