I just grabbed this up from a yard sale for $5. What does it go to?

The bottom of it looks to be the same as the one that's on my spitfire flathead 6 cylinder from a 1953 Chrysler Windsor

Looks just like the air cleaner on my 1954 Chevy dump truck. My air cleaner has the hose nipple on top but nothing is attached...Al

It looks like one I had on a 54 Chrysler hemi except fot the added PVC hookup.

That is not an added PCV as we have come to know it. There were several aftermarket units for sucking up the excess fumes from the oil breather but they were not PCV systems. They were many years before the PCV system. I have one still in the box with mounting pictures.

The mounting flange could be Ford truck or Chevy but not Ford car.

Tommy hit right on it. Most likely only a guy with one in his hand can tell what the air cleaner actually came off as they all looked and attached pretty much the same. Someone had put that fitting on the aircleaner that came with my 51 Chev 1-1/2 ton and most likely in an attempt to draw the blowby fumes back in the intake and combustion chamber.
