Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered.

  14. untitled.png [/ATTACH] Certainly a "must have" book. I see a few other new titles, these days as well. Has anyone read "Hot Rodding in Ventura County" by Tony Baker, "Middletown Pacemakers" by Ron Roberson or "The Brotherhood of Speed" by Don Pennington/Albert Drake? They all look very interesting.

The perfect birthday gift. I will show this thread to my wife tonight.
I met Pat & his wife on a road trip some years ago, they were staying in the same Hotel as us in Flagstaff.

  17. I introduced myself to Pat at the 2012 L.A. Roadster show and thanked him for his work that I have read with eager enthusiasm since I was a kid. He is a man that I look up to. -H.R.D-

  20. I ordered my book online, but it hasn't arrived at home yet.

To my surprise, the local Books-A-Million has copies. So I thumbed through the book and, no surprise, it's a great one! I can hardly wait to carefully read the whole thing.

There were a couple of issues I'd like to tell Mr. Ganahl about, so he may update his information. Anybody know how to get in touch with him?

  21. thanks Ryan, Just ordered it, and a few others that you listed.

Saw Pat @ Gene Scott's Antique Auto last week and over the weekend @ LARS. I was with Bill Burke's bro-in-law and he commented that some of the pix in the book were given to him by Bill when the both were @ Street Rodder. He let me know that he'd be at Auto-AeroBooks on 6/28 as stated above. Looks like its a must have.

Just got mine off the rack at B&N and a little over 1/4 through it. Great pics [many rarely or never widely seen before] and background info. Sure to be a keeper and great reference source after I've finished looking at and reading it. Well worth the investment.

My daughter gave me the first two "Lost" books for Christmas ( which are both excellent- great stories and even better pictures); I'll have to drop some subtle hints about this new one. Thanks, Mr Ryan! ( and thanks Pat Ganahl). Ho-Ho-Ho

  28. Just got Gallery 'one'. Wow. Ordered 'two', quick as a flash. What a great running mate to Dean Batchelor this book is. I'm sure 'two' will be great too.
