It would be interesting to see a NON Ford Winter Front bar to see if it is the same shape. If they were rolled out, or stamped using the same die would keep production costs lower. Bob

  5. There may be one that is the same, but the ones I have seen were different.

I believe it was Grille Art that had the new winterfront at the LARS

Bumping this up, I'm curious as well as I need a bar to replace a missing one on mine.

Gee why not complete the set-up with a electric dip stick that heats the oil, a sun lamp in the engine compartment to keep everything warm and toasty and last but not least a set of snow tires with chains. I am only kidding, I would sell it and get a blower. Now you have what every 32 restorer wants but you started off with crap and made it into a functional unit - good for you!

Personally I've always thought they were neat & different from the norm although becoming more common place to those who can afford one, It is neat in ways even beyond the fore-mentioned due to the fact it remains a genuine, era accessory made specific to the ever beloved 32 grille shell, & is beyond neat as it incorporates a clever mechanical function & of course that colorful Pines badge if so equipped further complements the era.

Winter in Florida? That's an oxymoron! Your coldest day would be like a spring in S. Saskatchawan, especially if the wind is blowing

Could never afford one, & for that reason if I ever had the itch it would need to be a homemade look alike.

Pines had two options, maybe not for all their offerings, but for sure the Deuce. The high-rollers could buy a thermostatically controlled one and the average guy would have bought the cable operated version.

Both of mine were cable controlled. The unrestored but nice one went to England in the 32 pickup I sold over there and I sold the second one that was 90% restored for 12K. In a part of the country where there's lots of critters on the roads I couldn't see putting it in a car.

Correct, I think maybe the Pines sold at Ford dealers used the cable, those also had a plain crank hole cover, they did not have the Pines badge.

    Wow $17.50!
And you thought a grand for one was too much, what are they going for now?
Wish I had a pallet of them.
