Technical Mallory Magneto

Are these any good? Guy came by my house trying to sell me some leftover parts he had. He wants $225 for it. I've never had one so don't have any experience with them. He has everything that goes with it.

Such as what? A model number? Is one model more valuable than another?

Well they made mini mags, "mag" distributers, "mag" coils, regular mags (self contained?), some with tach drive some without. I have never seen one that used was not in the 200-300 dollar range.

I have had the mini with the external coil and had the vertex style self contained and liked and used them both. If it is a good mag it is a good mag and if it isn't then it isn't.
