Some have said they've seen it. Some have thought they've seen it. Some have a blurry cell phone picture they claim is it.
This my neighbor and HAMB "lurker", Brandon. He's turned into a pretty cool hot rodder, but he is modest and shy about his builds. I spotted them out today for a quick garage clean and caught 2 cool projects he has had hidden for a while. His builds are very nice. He's a marine mechanic, by trade and a fine craftsman already.
The Green coupe is referred to locally as "SQUATCH", as it is seldom spotted on the street and there are those that thought it was a legend. It is a shame, because it's a very nice hotrod. 283 SBC 3X2, powerglide, 9 in, and some well done mods and workmanship with some neat touches. Fortunately, I have been able to see this from the start of the build and it was fun seeing it come together. Maybe we can convert the lurker into a HAMBer and get some more cool stuff cruising No. Dak.
And here's the latest build from the "SQUATCH" garage. A 30 coupe with a V8 60, 39 trans and Juice brakes, with a very nice body.
Reed, you two must be related somehow! Never see you out either!! When Brandon told me he had it out at the last cruise night I almost pissed myself!
Hope to see you this weekend for the Rod Run, Scotty's show and Buggies and Blues. I have the weekend off, and I'm also off for Back to the Fifties. Life is Good!
Thanks for the pics Reed..........I had heard about the `30 coupe but had not been to his place to check it out yet.
Nice stuff. Also overspray, the next time we get a flow check, I'll tell the hands we are looking for runs
