Event Coverage The Hot Rod Hundred Reliability Run

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Roothawg, Feb 6, 2014.

  1. Saturday is the early registration cutoff for the Southwest MO event. Early registration gets an event T-shirt.

The route that we have chosen has some very distinct segments that range from 2 lane rural country roads, some "lakes area" stuff, where we cross Stockton lake at 5 different crossings, and some 2 lane highway, on old Route 66.

The SWMO event will be extremely informal and is going to be a great time!

About a month away for the SWMO run and even less for the AZ run....

  3. Awesome idea!

I'll keep my eye out for when you expand to Colorado.

  4. We are down to 31 days before the SWMO Hot Rod Hundred.

For those of you who plan to participate, we've added a morning breakfast to the morning, consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuit and gravy, hash browns and coffee, so be sure to get there in time to fill your belly!

    Check in and registration: 7am - 8:30am
    Breakfast served: 7am-8:15am

At check in, we will make sure that we pass out all the pre-registered t-shirts, stickers and route maps.

We will have a brief "driver meeting" at 8:45, and departure time will be 9am, sharp.

The SWMO Hot Rod Hundred will be an "at your leisure" run, so if you spot a location you want to stop and take pictures, use facilities, fuel up, etc, feel free to do so. The route has 5 lake crossings, and several cool locations to take pictures.

The planned route is actually 139 miles, and will end in Crane, MO's City Park, where BenD will be providing a chili lunch.

Bring your lawn chairs and feel free to hang out at the park as long as you would like.

If you have any questions feel free to e-mail or PM me. You can get your SWMO Hot Rod Hundred registration form here: http://hotrodhundred.com/regional-events/southwest-mo/

  5. Within that 24 hour countdown window! Tomorrow, at this time, we'll be checking in our participants for the SWMO Hot Rod Hundred.

It's not too late to join us, however, the breakfast and chili will be first come, first serve, and when they're gone, they're gone! If we don't have your t-shirt size on hand, we can order them when we place our next run of T-shirts, closer to the June 14 event.

Now...if I can keep my mind on getting my day job work done, today, I'll be good to go for tomorrow!

Peddro, there are a couple of threads going for the HRH. Check the SWMO HRH thread. Lots of pics on there.

  11. Thanks guys. I hadn't seen any threads on it other than this one.

We made the mistake of creating several. Next year I think we will just have one.

  14. Today, I was talking to a guy outside of the local O'Reilly store. He was telling me that he missed out on a REALLY cool event, called the Hot Rod Hundred. I laughed and told him that I was the guy that spearheaded the SWMO run, and that he needs to go ahead and mark his calendar for next year.

The North Texas and Oklahoma City pre-registration cut-off is 5/30. Don't wait any longer and get your registrations sent in. You won't want to miss out on the fun.

Event date is June 14, leaving both locations at 9am and meeting at Lake Murray.

For those of you whom are interested in the StL run, I will have the entry form posted later this week.

Yep. We have had a few more pre-registrations rolling in this week.
    Getting close.

  16. Just a couple more days for the pre-registration for North Texas and Oklahoma City. Be sure to get your registrations sent in to help the guys know if they need to make some last minute adjustments.

We are ready to go. I hope the North Texas group has a big turnout.

  18. Today is "cut off day" for the OkC and DFW Hot Rod Hundred events. If you haven't sent in your registration info, make sure to get it in the mail today and give Roothawg or Dan Hay a head's up that it's on the way.

I also just uploaded the St Louis area registration form, to begin pre-registrations. The St Louis event will be October 11.

Looking forward to cruising with the OkC folks and catching up with the DFW crew, on June 14!

  19. Just because some have procrastinated and haven't gotten their registration info sent in, all hope is not lost. You can still register and participate on Saturday morning. Be sure to get there early.

I'll be cruising down to OkC on Friday afternoon, along with Clay (CVSTL) and David Hay (Hay Automotive). If anyone wants to catch up and join us along the way, give me a shout, and we'll find a meeting spot along the way.
