Just wanted to share a Bomber seat I made..I'm currently making a matching pair of the same seat for a customer in California. I have some other wild ideas for the next ones I'm making but I'm going to keep those in my head for now((( Kind of a dry run.. this is the first one I built, I had the idea in my head for a while and building this one gave me a good chance to work out some of the kinks with the patterns and such which I will be using for the next ones I build from now on. Also different rivets will be in order Sides and the seat belt openings riveted on.
Nice work. However I like the more traditional style like these made by Frank Wallic that I then painted with green aircraft primer. High Noon Speed Shop 32 Spitfire http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/high-noon-speed-shop-rolls-out-its-new-32-coupe.862612/
Very cool. Are the rivets set from inside our outside cant tell? I'm building a set and I'm setting them from the outside so the mushroom is in the inside of the seat... Just wondering very nice craftsmanship!
Here is a set I'm currently working on. They will be powder coated chrome and I will be using copper rivets..also diamond cut outs in the center with copper behind them
