I did a search and came up with a bunch of trash about how these are the towering inferno and to ditch them. Mostly from people who didn't own one. Regardless, its what I've got and the rebuild kit is only $18.00. My question is, has anyone rebuilt one themselves? Trying to gauge the difficulty. This would be my first carb rebuild and I'm really not sure what I'm getting into. All I know is that I can follow directions and can pretty well put back together whatever I take apart. What do you think? Should I go for it or leave it to the professionals? Any tech videos or info on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm not familiar with the 1901 designation, but have worked on several ECG and ECZ 9510 Holley 4 bbl carbs. Is this what you have? Are these 2 bbl carbs?
In any event, they are not too difficult to work on and don't require any special tools.
If you really need professional help, the guy to talk to is Mike Suter in PA.

It's a 2 barrel. Commonly referred to as the "Tea Pot".
