Hey all! So I got this '51 through a trade on Craigslist. Just started getting into it and I gotta say that I am really excited to see how this will turn out. I'll be posting pictures as I can and I will also be doing all the work myself! I am currently going to shool for welding and know I will get to use my new skills for this. So far I have the front end all dismantled and most of the interior out. The previous owner decided to fiberglass over the rusted floorpan so thats gonna be fun to fix. The straight 6 was rebuilt about 2,000 miles back (according to the previous owner) so for the moment im planning on using it. Anywho...here we go!

Thanks! Kinda wish I left it together so I could have enjoyed it this summer a little. I drove it straight off the trailer into the garage! Haha

Cool find! We all have our own ways of enjoying these old bombs... I'd suggested you drive it as is, so you could get intamate wit it! But what ever, you have a cool car. I've got a '51 Cambridge with a flat six/3 on the tree, and it runs like a watch. I'd shoot a pic to ya, but I'm an idiot & can't figure out why I can't any more. Anyways, remember dead solders are no fun... summer's commin'... get it together and drive it brother!!!

Cool Plymouth.. Don't tackle to many items at once.. Finish one at a time to help not get discouraged.. Your learning a valuable skill in your welding class...

My 51' Cranbrook is my daily driver all summer. Original flathead 6, 3 on the tree everything. Custom interior by previous owner. Lots of plans, no time or money to get to them though. Always looking for other people that own a cranbrook. Never seen another one around here. Becca.jpg DSC05726 2.jpg

Just picked up a 53 Cranbrook. Lookin at mild custom with the flathead and 3 on the tree left in place. Only paid 400 bucks for it, so lots of potential. Hoping to have it back on the road by mid summer.

My first car was a "51 more door. Did the interior in black tuck and roll, put a 2x1 intake on it and split the manifold. Sounded really good(not as good as the Stovebolts, but good), and actually ran pretty good too for what it was. Then traded it in on my first '55 Chevy HT. I've wanted to clone it ever since.

Cut some of the floor out. Not much, but it's something.
