Was happy to see this, after following the build thread. Amazing car.




















Crossing into Pennsylvania (no big deal, it's 10 minutes away). Everything was good until around Harrisburg. I tromped on the gas leaving a rest stop and the car started this intermittent hesitation. Figuring I was so close, I kept going and the car didn't act up too much as long as I feathered the gas pedal.


Made it to the Showdown.


Trip home didn't go too well. Car would lose power going up the hills on Route 15. Had to crawl along the shoulder at 30 mph and pulled into a Weis Markets parking lot. Decided it would not be a good idea to try to limp home on the Turnpike. This was the first time I used the Haggerty Insurance Road Side assistance and it worked out really well. At least the insurance paid for the first 50 miles of the tow. Other than having to pay for the remaining miles, it was a painless experience.

Thanks again to Larry & crew for putting on another good time at the Showdown. Having multiple cars on the track at the same time, and cars that looked like they really belonged there created an old-time vibe and was fun to watch.

 

Looks like it was a good time in spite of the weather, happy for all that went and had good time. I cancelled cuz of weather. but then I had issues with ignition module and a good thing I didn't go.

Thanks again for the coverage Mr. Excite! Sorry I missed you as I was running all over the place taking it all in. Only got one decent shot! Just happened to be at my car at the right time to meet more of the nice people you see at the Showdown. Thanks again Ladies for making my car look better!

Nice! Thanks for posting! Wish I could have made it! I've only been to 2 Showdowns (2006 and 07 with my 47 Ford). Should have my 41 ready for the long haul next year.

 

Pussed out because of the weather. Should have gone. Thanks for sharing.
