I can't run wire wheels on the front of my Highboy because they expose the entire 45 fin Buick drums. You should only see the last 1 1/8 ".

I've been running KH bent spoke wires since 1971 when I originally started my build. The car has had only 21,000 miles put on it since with no problems.

I just bought these for my '61 Caddy. Someday, I hope I can make the right mods to post it on the "Classy Customs" thread.... 1400250923421.jpg

DSCF0440.JPG 100_2352.JPG 100_2352.JPG DSCF0440.JPG I really like wires. Had 'em on a couple of recent cars. Really hard to keep clean...if that matters.

Used 15" Chrysler 5 on 4.5" circle wires (Imperial wires have the 5 on 5.5" early Ford pattern) on my 48 Plymouth coupe for years then transferred them to my 48 Plymouth woodie wagon when I got it. Kept them after both cars weres sold, used 2 on a Mullins trailer which sits outside the house right now with the same tires and tubes that they had back in the 70s. Acquired a set of Dodge/DeSoto painted wires from the 50s a year or two ago for a roadster project.
Chrysler wires are good. AND...with a simple set of adapter rings you can run your favorite version of 32-35 Ford hubcaps.

    Bent spokes for me:

I think they are easy to keep clean... The hard part is finding some in good enough condition - straight or aren't so far gone they can't be straightened.

Whats the street value on a set of four 34 ford wire wheels. Whats the price difference between bent and straight?

  23. Gotta love wires. I had these made one off far as I know. Been on the roadster for at least 12 years. The 34 coupe came with 16" straight spokes. Working on some K-H bent spokes for the 34 roadster

  24. I have wires on my 34 roadster and my 34 three window. I drive both alot.

Pretty sure I have the match for the 17" Dodge wheel. Spent most of the day today taking old tires off my 16" and 17" Ford wire wheels for the business coupe and dad's special coupe. Hoping I have enough good 16" wheels to put a set on the delivery for every day driving. Rod
