Hello;I searched the tech library and found nothing, so I will start here.
Does anyone make friction shocks, and I don't mean Speedway Motors (I have a 30 A' coupe). Can they be made at home? Does anyone have an accurate drawing and material list? What did you use for the friction material and center bolt for the shock arm/mount? How about good pictures? How well do they really work? I have access to a lathe, Bridgeport, saws, TIG welder and nearly anything else that might be needed - SO - can someone help me out with a little technical home schooling? Thanks,

Needlouvers in his "bucket of ugly " thread has started making his own. I'd give you a link or something but I don't know how .
