Features 250 INLINE 6 "lets see em"

    Welcome to the Board.
    What intake are you running?I have never run a heat plate here in fla.The intake get more then warm enough on its own.And I have run the Offey and The clifford intakes.Up to the point I now run my own Custom built 3x4 tunnle ram intake.The exhaust will get heat to the intake faster then water, Only beacuse how close the headers are to the intake.BUT the water keeps a more even heat to the intake.

    its just a stock intake from 1970 not sure the name.
    Hoping to upgrade to a 4 barrel from my one barrel carb,
    but thanks for the reply and help i figured i wouldn't need one ,
    but just to make sure i asked.

    The stock intake has a built in heat riser from the stock exhaust.But it will still get hot from the headers.Or make some form of heat tube to set over the header to the bottom of the intake.

    What timing are you'll setting your stock 250 ci engine at. 4 deg BTDC?

    Im curious to know what i should set mines at with the manual tranny

    Heres a shot of my project. Don't pay any attention to the fuel line, it temporary.

    It'd be nice to see how others plumbed their clifford intake

    I know this is an older thread but wanted to show off some.

    Intake right after grinding and first round of wet sanding with 320.

    Finally in car but just bought a totally rebuilt and 30 over bored 250 so doing a motor change coming up.

    Did install a 200 4r when I put the 194 in. Damn, I finally did something smart on this ride doing that. Hope you all like.

    Finally got it together and fired it yesterday, .040 over 250, decked, flat tops, lump ported, 1.94 valves, shaved the head .030, street ported, triple angle valve job, headers and carbs.   16. .you guys have some great lil motors,....I've always liked Chevy inlines,...this is my 48 F-1 with a 250,..I'm not into shine, just love the reliability and great gas mileage these things get,...they just purr down the road.
    simplicity at it's best.

    Not mine.

    Stolen off another website for trucks. It is in a '67 Chevy stepside shortbed. Maybe it'll piss off a few of you for being too billet-y. But. Think it looks great. I'd be proud to own it.

    Dependibility is the name of the game for me, I just added a little kick to it, the transmission is a Borg T5 form an 86 V8 Camaro IROC with the S10 tail housing, the cab is a 34 Ford, it's gonna drop 4" and chop 4" I needed to run the motor and get the bugs worked out of it, make adjustments and take care of any leaks. The carb covers are boat bilge vent covers with a little home built touch to make them fit. I have the carbs set up so the center is the primary, front and rear are secondaries. It's my first build and it's been a blast so far, homemade frame, the big items are store bought, like the front end, it's a Lucky 7 I beam, 4" drop, disc, hub to hub deal, rear is a junk yard Ford 9" with factory discs. Box is a 32 that I shortened, I took 3 inches out of the front. Hand built bed floor, thanks for the comments.

    :D Have had more than a few v type engines.Just keep coming back to the inline 6`s.

    250 Chevy, mild bore, flat tops, slightly bigger valves, intake bowl cleanup, lump port mod, roller rockers on pivots and tips, RV torquer cam, Aussiespeed manifold, Edelbrock AVS2 500 cfm, Pertonix ready to run, 12Bolt/Langdon headers, dyno’d 258 lb ft, 226 hp......going into my ‘37 Chevy Coupe.
