Just wondering why The H.A.M.B. was changed

After several years of figuring out how to use the H.A.M.B. pretty well, it's difficult to start all over. Just a few months ago I finally figured out how to post pictures very easily. Now it's much different and harder. Can someone tell me how the email a tread to someone?

 

I too find it very hard to email a tread to someone, normally parcel post seems to be more effective.

 

well, I understand how some of us older guys have a hard time with "new " stuff but on a post I read yesterday they said that it was easer to post photos and stuff. I have not tried yet but the old way was kind of cumbersome,it will be OK.

I too liked the old format because I don’t like changes. But remember this is Ryan’s site, he is the Wizard we are just using it to further our obsession with cars. We are most fortunate to have this site to say the least. Experiment and get used to the changes and it will be easier in the future for you.

You can only email bias ply treads on the HAMB. Were you trying to email a radial tread?

Dave, we talked to you at the St. Louis Muny show a few weeks ago and we talked about uploading images on the H.A.M.B. We just practiced here and it was easy! Really!

I find this very difficult to use with an iPad mini. Haven't tried with my phone yet. I understand the premise of "progress", but I also abide by the old adage: "if it isn't broke...."

Why are the avatars distorted? Is the site slower or am i older?

 

The new format is cool... I think the old one was getting a little stale.
One thing you can say about Ryan/The HAMB, is that I don't think an update has been bollixed ever. They always seem to be improvements and there don't seem to be too many hiccups... Considering the size of the site.

I'm lost! I'm trying to post to sell my 62 CDV and I hav no clue....

 

OK, if I don't want to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to reply to a thread I used to be able to hit "reply" anywhere on that thread. Now, if I hit reply it "quote's" that persons post without me hitting the quote button. Is that a defect, or am I woopid? THX
