Images of a FRACTION of the cars there. Beautiful weather, awesome turnout (650+?), NICE people, KILLER CARZ. THANK YOU Mick for your hard work and hospitality. Headed home on 66 again, hope to make it to the SK500 next year. Hunter
Thanks for posting. I am glad you are having fun. I usually go to the show but I could not this year. I am following along with your adventure. John
LOL. I looked through my pic's and one would think that it was a '40 Fords show, with a few extra vehicles thrown in!
I finally posted my photos of the event here: http://streetrodder.net/2014/05/stray-kat-500-2015/ You'd hardly know it was a Kustoms show, with all the '40 Ford pictures I took.
Hunter, it was great meeting y'all. Thanks for posting up the pictures. What an awesome weekend it was! Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Yep, made it back alive but have to admit we were sad the trip was over. Considered running a load of laundry and driving to Santa Monica to finish the RT66 trip in its entirety, but the four letter word (WORK) got in the way and we called it good. Buick ran great the whole trip with no problems. Drove over the mountains to Chino Valley today to talk to the Vintage Air dealer/installer. He quoted $3-4k for the install. Dang. Might have to run around with the windows down for awhile. Brake pedal went to the floor on the way back. By the time I got to NAPA the master cylinder was dry. Brakes all around time. Looking for USA mde components without luck so far... WONDERFUL TRIP on RT66. What a blast. Great to meet everybody at the SK500, what a bonus to our road trip. Timing is everything! Hunter
Great seeing you again, Bret, and glad to meet your Dad. I should have not driven the Nomad, but it made it there and back so I can't complain! Okie Dokie, it was really good to meet you (again) after 34 years! It was a pleasure visiting with you!
Kool to see ya had a good time and you made it home ok. You had planned a kool trip across country and was happy that we were one of your stops. Listening to ya guys, I could tell you were going to have some fun. Looking forward to the next time... Happy Trails, Mick
