When I was little, my dad used to read me a story about an old jalopy that would drive around and help everyone out - the famous line was 'Good for nothin, but the old car dump'. Towards the end of the book everyone he'd helped out comes back to pay it forward. I can't recall anything more... Anyone else remember anything like this?
I've been looking for that book as well, I believe it was a Golden Book. My mom would read it to me and I would cry every time. Ever find a copy? I'd like to get one if I can.
Just a guess but since Surrey is a county in the South East of England it may not have been published in the United States. HRP
