Hello everyone, I could not sit still with my hands so I decided to make another big desire. My next project has just arrived at my house and slowly I'm studying where to start. I found on sale here on The Hamb the my '36 Ford coupe 3w and I thought it was time to realize my dream. As soon as the car arrived, along with my daughter we decided to paint it a single color . It will take at least 3 years of work to finish the project and updates I'm going to do will be these, but this time I will need your very valuable advice : New Mustang2 front end, triangulated bars on rear with 9" Ford rear end, stock frame boxed and c-noched, ridetech shockwave with Accuair air ride, 365 Cadillac engine and 700R4 transmission, 3" top chopped, shaved doors ecc.... Please be accepted recommendations, thanks As soon as it arrived in rome Save paint
Great project! Keep the Caddy motor, they are reliable and lots of speed equipment is available. Plus they look fantastic in an early Ford.
This will be a great thread!!! Subscribed. Where did you find the 36? Cool to involve your daughter Orula.
Great find....I will be watching this build....I,m waiting for my 36 five window coupe to arrive....bob
Many thanks to all the friends who follow this project with interest. Here, too, your help will be invaluable. I found this car here on the Hamb... I want to install a new IFS Mustang II but at the rear, what do you recommend? Can I install Parallel or Triangulated bars? I will also notches the frame Thanks
Looks like we are both working on the same make / model / year car. I'm just 45 years into mine. It's very nice to see that you have help. She looks around the same age as when I started to help? my Father. (RIP) With our 36 Ford 392 hemi three window coupe /project. Now if all of the H.A.M.B. members could just chip in a few bucks each... Then build a time machine to go back... and buy up a bunch of $50.00 Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Willys, coupes...
amazing car love the fenders and running board i hope you keep them it just makes the car. and i like the 365 Cadillac engine in it im gonna build a 365 for myself soon for my Cadillac
I would keep the Cadillac engine assuming it runs and is good shape. It may have some work on the car, but you have a great starting point there.
Many thanks to all for encouragement. This is my 365 Cadillac just rebuilded but I will change the color of this. Maybe the car will be black and the engine will be Root Beer Kandy color and chrome valve cover, tri-power intake or 6x2 ecc....
YUP!! Definitely keep the Caddy. One of the old fav;orates of hot rodding is a Fordilac. the combination makes for a sweet running ride and the performance is second to none if the Caddy is properly built. Frank
