I am finishing up a buddies 55 chevy PickUP and made a booboo. he got fiberglass fenders for the front and i didnt mock it up before i painted it. I need to see some pics of how and where they mount to the core support so i can get it done correctly. That way i can be sure the hood will align properly also. Does anyone have any pics of how they mount. I need asap becuase i bring the truck back to him friday morning. and yes i already know i am a dumbass. i mocked everthing else but forgot the fenders since they were new.

Yeah, i know. Everything else mocked up perfect, i figured since the fenders were new they would fit. They line up but now i just need to drill the holes and i want to make sure i am putting them in the right spot. You can never be to careful.

If they fit your one lucky S.O.B., fiberglass never fits right.

  5. Deadlines suck. It won't be ready by Friday. Tell him now, protect whatever credibility you have left. Then, pictures won't line it up. You have to line it up, then drill the holes, not the reverse.

It already lines up with everything, i just want a pic to make sure i am drilling in the right spot on the core support. But seeing as no one here seems to want to help i guess i will just do it.

    59 is different.

Is the 55 truck a 1st or 2nd series? 55(2nd)-57 are the same.

I have a V8 type 56 in the yard that's together, what do you need to see?

ps. maybe if you had put some useful information in the subject line, like "need photos of 55 chevy pu" then I would have seen your post sooner!

thanks gringo and squirrell, all i need is a pic of the fender attached at the core support. I didnt put the title correct becuase i was extremely tired, and i am sorry if my last post had attitude. I am about to collapse due to the 55 and another project i am trying to get done for people who dont understand that restorations take time. They think cuase boyds shop can do it in 6 weeks so should i, well they need to come into the real world.

Fenders? We don't need no stinkin' fenders. I am glad you got help. Hey you missed an awsome trip through time today. I dreamed we were in a speed shop in the 60's,then I realized I wasn't dreaming. Rocco, and Cheaters rocks. Thanks Sam.:DSparky
