I grew up in a small town where there was not a whole lot to do, but hangout in town at our local 76 station or the bank parking lot. Typically on just about every weekend when they could get away with it, my friends would race their hot rods. The local hot spot "The Valley" where teenagers would party in the pear orchards while keeping warm by smuge pots. Small town not a whole hell of a lot to do! The highlight of the evening would to catch wind of a race being set up. My brother who was old enough at the time had purchased a starter, but it was to much work and ended up selling it. Later on he purchased a 57 Chevy station wagon, that he has to this day. So, between a combination of watching him work on his cars or my friends who either had Mustangs, Chevys, Camaros, Novas...ect is where the love for muscle cars came into play. The local boys jokerjason or motorhead711 had a shop that became a second home to all interested in cars. It's mainly because of these two where my love for cars has continued on. Through the years they took racing in "The Valley" to racing at the near by Drag strips, to participating in the local car shows. I enjoy going to car shows and hitting up the Drags to hear the muscle scream down the strip. At this time in my life I can not afford my Dream 68 Camaro, but tend to find my mouth hanging open when I see one. Some day this dream will become my reality!!
