I got into this in the mid '50's with influence from my older brother. Had a '51 Ford and a '36 Ford in high school. Bought a new Corvette coupe in 1967. Kind of drifted out of it during the family years. Got back in about 20 years ago. Right now, vintage dirt racing is big with me, since you actually "do" somethng more than cruising and sitting under an umbrella on the fair grounds. I have had my restored '51 Club Coupe for a little more than 25 years, and it has been a reliable, fun ride. I am getting a little bored with it, so I'm in the process of making some "improvements" to make it a little more "HAMB-friendly". Next, although, I'm a little old now, I'm gonna try to build me one last Hot Rod (Flathead powered, of course)!
