the75Stingray

I purchased my ’66 Ford Fairlane in 1983 when I was still in high school. Thanks to my mechanically inclined neighbors, I had always had an interest in rods and bikes.
I bought my ’75 Stingray in August of ’85 and began showing both of my cars whenever possible. (My parents would often take the Fairlane.)
Soon after, my folks got a ’57 Chevy and soon we were attending shows all over Ohio and Indiana.
My younger brother purchased a ’50 Chevy and another addition to the carpool was born.
In July of ’04 I bought my ideal ride…a lowered ’48 Ford Coupe with a Flathead engine and fender skirts.
Going for that Polynesian-Tiki theme, it is cream colored with a brown tiki pinstriped on the trunk. A Jimmy C. tiki adorns the 5 speed S-10 bamboo painted shifter, below the wood grain Mooneyes surfboard rear-view mirror.
I am wanting to have the interior re-done in thatching and bamboo.
