Our family would visit my Aunt Suki & Uncle Joe in Whittier every couple of weeks or so when I was just a weeee tike in elementary school. My Uncle was a big hot rod guy before WW2 & after and still is till this day. I look up to him as one of the guys that I can say I know personally as pioneering crazy car ideas in the 40's & 50's when it was considered obscure & wild! So exposure to classics happened early on when we'd come over and there'd be 6 or 7 cars deliberately dispersed for Uncle Joe’s surgical operation throughout the back of the house. I knew these cars had character and the cool. So when I got old enough, I saved up and got my very own set of wheels.
