Playing in my Dad's Model A Sport Coupe and helping him work on all his projects are among my first memories with my dad as a kid. I was a quick standout on shining up the chrome spokes on his 68 Ranchero! I can still remember the smell of naval jelly mixed with steel wool as I knocked the rust off his chrome. And the sting on my bare fingers!

I was a fairly decent shade tree mechanic but my job and duties as a father make it necessary to farm out most of the "heavy lifting" stuff to some folks that have gained my trust over the years. These days, I'm all about parts chasing and handling the smaller detail parts while trying not to lose focus on the bigger picture. Currently, one 53 Suburban has me scratching my head and scouring the parts ad looking for those oh so rare pieces. I hope to surprise my kids with it by Fall 2017.
