Grew up in Tucson, Arizona. My first car was a 40 Ford Coupe. I paid $24 for it and my folks were furious at me for wasting the money. That was in 1957 when primer was considered a color. I've had way too many cars in my life, but never a Deuce. Now at 71, I'm building one.

I began my career (s) as a photographer having shot fashion in Paris and news in San Francisco. I spent a number of years with Argus Publishers in LA on Super Chevy and moved on to advertising agencies. In 1981 began importing tequila 19 years later we sold our company and retired. Remember the gorgeous blonde I met at the Fox and Hounds in Michigan? 30 years later she's still with me. Imagine that.

I grew up in the days when primer was considered a color.
