I'm using a 32 Dodge axle with the spring just behind enough to clear. I like the look.
I had a 41 Chevy that was tinted urethane primer. I water sanded it with 600 wet and buffed it with a coarse compound . Gave it a flat satin look...
T cowl, cut model A hood and grille shell.
