Genetically predisposed (mom and dads sides) to hot rodding and "Rustoration". I grew up wrenching on everything from 30s Fords to heavy equipment. My first car was a 1968, 66, 71 VW Beetle that I built from spare parts. For the last 20 years I have always owned at least one Chevy 1/2 ton. Some of them even ran! About ten years back I completed a full frame-off restoration of my favorite 52 Shortbed. Since then I've gotten married, built a house, had kids, and joined several military reenactment groups (WWII, Civil War, Roman). As a consequence my truck has now been reduced to a "Redneck lawn ornament". It's time to get it going again though and this time I want to make it more driveable.
