    B/ Fuel Modified Roadster...an original from 1964
    House of Mouse
First drag race 65 at Lions with my dad. Watched the car I have now race at Lions in 67.Have had street and drag VW's 33 Batam roadster,55 Gasser Chevy (former "Green Seen" gasser from Lions, 65 ford Ranchero drag car.Found current car "Revelation" at a movie hands house 25 years ago. Car was to be used in the up coming "More American Grafitti , but it wasnt used so it didnt get cut up.Car was A Drag News record holder 1966 in CF/MR, car won at the 66 March Meet and local tracks , Lions - Irwindale- OCIR-San Fernando etc.The car was originally the 'Bell Auto Parts Spl. Built by the late Bill'The Sheepherder" Erhle, a LaMirada fireman with cohorts Kenny Ellis (who built the aluminum "Shark nose" front end, also at the station was Big Jim Dunn.Bill named the car "The Rounders" in 67 after Ellis built the nose for it. The car got parked about 69-70 and sat till I found it.
We first ran an injected nitro small block in it for 13 years then went to the 8-71 blower the end of 97 as nitro was $900 a barrel compared to $120 for alky. We still keep a little of the funny yellow stuff in it just to pay homage to the nitro gods.
It's all about having fun, smokin the M&H's and doing dry hops.
Screw NHRA and their traveling show of the same 16 guys at every event. How much more BS can you hype in Natural Disaster (national dragster) about the same guy who wins week after week, hell he only has to face 15 other guys each race ,not like the old days of 120+ cars at the March Meet. Sorry , I digres about what has happend to drag racing.
If if aint fun I'll cut the car up ! PERIOD.
Hope to see ya at your arm drop event.
