My Dad ran A/F and AA/F Dragsters from 1967-1976
Dragway 42, Norwalk, Quaker City, Thompson. Outlaw circut
from 1967-72 with A/F then Mid West UDRA circut with AA/F.
I was on the pit crew starting at age 7 until 16. Turning wrenches, pouring fuel, packing chute, laid down the bleach
in the bleach box (my favorite part) Traveling the country
hot rodding and rocking and rolling. The AA/F was called
The Skunk. The Snake, The Mongoose, The Skunk...(get it)
we actually had a pet Skunk (de-scented) as a mascot
and took him to selected races. His name was Snoopy.
